Christians can donate to any charity they feel supports their values. Most charitable organizations have a mission statement and a list of services they provide. It is a good idea to read these and be completely familiar with what the organization does before giving to it. This is a fairly simple process for smaller, or single focus charities, but more difficult for large national charities that help many groups. United Way, for instance, helps Planned Parenthood, an abortion agency. This is very offensive to many Christians so most choose not to give to them. You can, however specify the charities you want your money to go to, through United Way. This way, you know your money is not going to support something that is against your values.
