No, GPCR are transmembrane proteins which, after synthesis by Ribosomes and modification in the Endoplasmic Reticulum, are trafficked to the membrane by Golgi Vesicles. So they will never be 'floating' in the cytoplasm. They possess a cytoplasmic COOH- terminal domain for signal transduction so may be detected intracellularl.
