This is my question! PLEASE HELP! I have a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited..4.7L. I know it has for wheel drive but which system? i have the silver pull lever by my shifter that i can put into diffrent gears like (1,2,3) etc..like Low and High Gear But which 4x4 system do i have???? thanks! email me! iapple104@gmail.com Here are the three options for your Jeep: A single-speed transfer case provides convenient full-time four-wheel drive with no transfer case lever to shift or driver interaction required. QuadraTrac II has the new NV245 transfer case for full-time active four-wheel drive, with electronic shift with a true low-range gear and neutral for towing Grand Cherokee behind another vehicle. Quadra-Drive® II has Electronic Limited Slip Differentials (ELSD) for the ultimate in off-road capability, replacing the Vari-Lock progressive axles for quicker response to changing conditions and greater torque capacity.
No, there are 5 options available. 2x2 or 4x4: * Selec-trac * Quadra-trac I * Quadra-trac II * Quadra-Drive
No...it's all-time 4 wheel drive. You would have to disassemble the drive shaft ,which in turn would leave you with no 4 wheel drive at all.
You can't. The 1994 JGC has Quadra Trac, all the time 4 wheel drive. It should never go into 2 wheel drive. If it does, have your Jeep looked at immediately.
You CAN NOT turn off the quadra trac this is an all wheel drive model. Selec trac has option for 2H 4 part time 4h N and 4L
It could be part time Select Trac or full time Quadra Trac.
2002 jeep liberty limited four wheel drive is stuck in 4 low how do I get it unstuck?
Why would you need to? The rear differential will be the same, only the transfer case will be different. :)
Not recommended.Not recommended.
The two systems were Selec Trac and Quadra Trac.
remove frontdrive shaft
if memory serves me correctly, JeeP pulled the manual transmission on the Grand Cherokee in 1999. so this means you are dealing with an automatic. Now whether or not your JeeP is equipped with "shift on the fly" four-wheel-drive, or a Quadra-Drive II system, i would not know. and seeing as how i do not know much about Quadra-Drive II systems, i will assume you have a shift on the fly model (which is most popular anyway). whenever you are towing a four-wheel-drive vehicle with automatic transmission, you will put the transfer case (the little lever that allows you to engage the four-wheel-drive) into N (neutral) and leave your vehicle's transmission in P (park). this will disengage your transmission and allow the wheels to spin freely without harming your gears. as always, it is best to consult your owner's manual. and if you have Quadra-Drive II.... i am sorry Eric T. Look for a driveshaft going to the front.
