From my experience with multiple HTC Desires, yes. All new screen technologies these days have their weaknesses. S-LCDs have backlight bleeding which is only visible on black color so it's not a big deal, AMOLEDs have burn-in issues and somewhat pink, green or blue tint over the whole screen, and their performance drops faster through time compared to other screens, such as S-LCD.
