This kind of five-source influenza virus mutation is called a quintuple reassortant. Birds can get the A-H1N1/09 virus, and it is possible that a human could become infected by contact with them or their saliva or feces, although there have been no reports of this so far.

birds cannot get infected from the swine because part of the swine is because of birds, actually half of the results. swine flu in a mixture of bird flu and pig fever... it spreads and spreads and it will not end. u cant get rid of it just by getting treated it takes quite some time. my school(eisenhower middle school in Oregon, OH) has 190 people calling in sick. it is all because of a bird and a pig..
