Answer

As your depression lifts so should these doubts and questions, or at the least they will seem less and less important, unless of course they relate to the situation you are in which caused the depression, which may still need to be addressed. That of course is much easier to do when you are feeling better anyway.

Answer

You may lose all questions and doubts, but if your depression is caused by some traumatic event in your life you must seek out some sort of counselling. Our brains are magnificent and it helps to hide the pain and is on survival mode. It is best to be on your medication and either go to a good group (go to your Mental Health to find one) or seek out psychological counselling. You want to be sure you are covering all areas.

SSRIs for depression are just a bandaid and if it's just clinical depression and there is no trauma in your life then you should be fine. It's time to put your thinking cap on and ask yourself if there was anything you can remember that could cause depression. Here are a few examples:

lost love a death of someone you loved divorced parents rape abuse of any sort

    • Ask family members if there is any depression in the family. You may hit a brick wall on this one because they may not want to discuss it. Depression can be genetic as well.

There are many more reasons people feel depressed. Write down on a piece of paper why you think you are depressed. If you have good reasons on that paper then psychological counselling along with your medications will have you healthy and well soon.

Good luck Marcy

Answer

When you are depressed the issues that you have will become deeper and more amplified. When you have moved out of the cronic stage of depression you may still have the issues but the depth and amplification of them will not be so overwhelming. Issues do not go away unless they are adressed, accepted and forgiven depression or no depression, if they are still troubling you they need attention. Its a life journey and all of us will have things that trouble us throughout our lives. Its how we handle the troubles that determines how balanced our life is.

Answer

Well, when I was depressed I would think a lot about things like if god exists, what is the meaning of life, et cetera. No one really knows the answers to these things, and since I'm a spiritual and moral person I still care about them. But I don't end up crying and feeling meaningless and thinking that life isn't worth living because there's probably no purpose. I just go on and accept the mystery. So no, for me they didn't go away, but I have a better relationship to them.

Answer

The clearing up of depression allows a person to deal with the issues, questions, doubts of life more effectively.
