This is true. As I recall there are about 5 species that will masturbate on their own, and a few that will engage in sex for fun instead of reproduction. The one example that comes to mind is dolphins.

I'm not sure, but I'd imagine that they do (if they're mammals, at least). I know that female mammals have a clitoris, so I'm assuming that male animals have a sensitive penis just like human males. I'm sure it 'feels good' to them because given what I've learned as a biology minor, most mammals are pretty similar to humans (similar hormones, anatomy, physiology, etc.). I really don't know about nonmammals. I wouldn't doubt if they don't (the males obviously ejaculate but this is not necessarily the same as orgasm). My female cat sucks on herself down there sometimes. She even purrs when she does this. It sure seems like masterbation to me!
