Probable? No.
The question is really ethical verses financial in nature. They could in theory make money by tracking their customers usage in order to sell targeted advertisements but that would be upsetting to the customer base they have worked hard to get (you) and don't want to loose.
This is in the context of a service provider situation only. All bets are off when it comes to companies websites of whom you visit/do business with. They can try to track you all they want, sometimes they ask, often they don't. Sometimes you know, often you don't. Advertising dollars are very important to the proliferation of the Internet, less so with Internet service providers (phone company DSL, cable company HSI, satellite etc.)
