If your cat "hates" lavender (the flower) it could be allergic. I'm assuming your a new owner, so here is another reason your cat could hate lavender: Some certain plants dogs and cats CANNOT eat because they may get sick and can sometimes even die! Like grass, cats eat it when they are sick to threw up. Make sure your cat is careful around plants. Have a nice day.

∙ 11y agoNo. In my experience with cats, they love the smell of lavender and even eat it. Lavender is related to catnip and will give the cat similar effects, so if you are looking to attract cats then plant, mint or lavender.
