Best Answer

depending on whether the child can find help or confidence to talk to someone about the bullying. its normal for the child to ignore it to an extent that they cannot take it anymore. the best thing to do is watch your child for signs of bullying and remind them they can talk to you about anything.

Why do teenagers attempt suicide?

Teenagers attempt suicide for many reasons. One may be their family not accepting them for who they are. Maybe their bisexual or lesbian/gay and people don't accept them for them. Some people just don't like life. Maybe their doing bad in school. But the most main reason as to why they do it is because of a relationship that had happened or their being abused in the relationship. Or just abused in general. Physically, mentally. Or maybe they just don't get treated with respect. Don't call them "emo". It doesn't feel good. Trust me.

How does physical abuse effect children?

It depends if the child itself was or is being abused, they will either forget it or remember it. 80% of children who were abused, still remember being abused. Physical abuse effects children by making them feel slightly depressed, or feel like they have to pretend to be normal. The 80% of children who recall being abused say they never talk about their feelings of their abuse or sadness, and say that they became so depressed, they began to have suicidal thoughts. Physical abuse can effect the child in a different way if its one of the parents being abused. For example, if the mother was being abused, the child would feel as if their mother were weak, or be afraid to talk with the mother. If the father were abusing the mother, the child would be afraid to have any contact with the father.

When did children start being abused?

Children started being abused since the dawn of time. There are now probably less children abused in the civil world than in all the centuries before now. In the old days people had a concept of beating on kids and controlling them and maintaining the concept of "children are to be seen, not heard". It was common and accepted for kids to be abused. And it was common and acceptable for a man to beat his wife too. It has taken three decades to globally, formally, and legally change these concepts and practices. Some cultures still believe in it.
