Yes, because there is a creature called the komodo dragon that is still alive today. There is also another creature called the Gila (pronounced Heel-a) monster, and both of these creatures share characteristics with dragons/dinosaurs.

But, despite the gila monster or komodo dragon, these creatures aren't near the size of real dinosaurs (terrible lizards, literally) or dragons. Although, all main countries have some record of dragons/dinosaurs, especially Scandinavians/Vikings with their Norse mythology, not to mention the most famous chinese parade dragon.

This century, Japan found a plesiasauras (a sea "serpent") though it was almost completely decomposed.


Yes, but are now nearly extinct because of all those dang knights.
