Not just the Botfly, the Screw Fly also lays eggs in humans. It is a subtropic genus of flies that lays eggs in living hosts, including humans. The Screw Fly larvae, called screwworms, will burrow themselves into the skin of the host, and if disturbed, they will burrow even deeper. They have been known to cause major tissue damage in humans and other animals.

Only a species Botfly called torsalo. But even that is very rare to happen.

Flies live about 21 days. They have no place to nest on a human body that is alive and moving.

Flies lay eggs on or near decaying trash or flesh. So flies will invade a trash dumpster, and also invade a dying host such as dying human body, where they lay eggs.

Fly larvae, or maggots eat dead flesh but do not eat living tissue.

Serious wounds that do not heal can be treated with fly larvae or maggots. Maggots are sealed into the wound where they eat all the dead flesh without disturbing the live tissue. This treatment is far superior to operating with a knife where dead tissue cannot be removed without also removing living tissue.

Yes, flies can actually lay eggs in human hair. They will only do this on very unwashed nasty hair. Make sure to always have clean hair.
