The size of the tank affects the goldfish greatly! If you put too many goldfish in a small tank, the goldfish can suffocate from not having enough oxygen, even if the water is kept perfectly clean, for there is not enough oxygen in the small amount of water for the amoutn of goldfish in it. Goldfish need enough space to swim around and exercise too, and if you leave too many goldfish in a small tank, I believe they get stressed out.

How does a goldfish grow as a size of a foot when in seawater and still the same size when in a bowl?

Goldfish release growth-inhibiting hormones into the water they live in: the more goldfish in a smaller space, the less likely they are to grow. For instance, if I have a common goldfish in a 5 gallon tank, it will grow to about the same size if I had 6 of the same fish in a 30 gallon tank. But leave that fish alone in a 30 gallon tank, and it will grow larger. This is why pond goldfish grow bigger. But goldfish won't grow at all in seawater; they aren't saltwater fish.

Is a 14 liter tank fine for 1 goldfish?

Should you put your fish in a bowl or tank?

it depends on how big it is if it is a goldfish or beta it can be in a bowl.If it is one of those big tiger fish or aqarium fish then put it in a big tank. A fish will grow to the size of the tank or bowl. For instance, say a goldfish is in a tank, it will not grow as big as the tank; however it will grow big enough to be able to swim in their environment. The fish will not overgrow the tank. I had a six inch goldfish in a thirty gallon tank.

What other kind of fish can you put in a 10 gallon tank with comet fish?

If by "comet fish" you mean a comet goldfish, you should not put anything in with it unless you get a much larger tank. A comet goldfish can grow six inches or longer, and will need a larger tank. Any tankmates should be cold water fish, like the goldfish. Snails will also get along well with the fish, but might get eaten. If it is a marine comet fish, it will grow up to seven inches, and will also need a larger tank.

Is necessary to add filter machine in the fish tank of 2 x1 x1.25 and tank contain goldfish red cap?

A properly working filter can really improve the living conditions for your goldfish and will almost double the tanks holding capacity. The tank you have though is not large enough for any kind of goldfish. 1" of fish needs 1 gallon of water. Your goldfish will grow to around 10" if given reasonable conditions. That is going to max out your tank with just 1 fish.

What to do with goldfish which have outgrown their tank?

The rule of thumb for goldfish is 10 gallons per double tail fish (fancy goldfish) and 20 gallons per single tail goldfish. If your goldfish are overcrowded you can either, buy a second tank, return some of the fish to the petstore, or ask if anyone you know would like to have one of the fish.
