Do lip piercings hurt

In my opinion, lip piercing don't hurt except for a small pinch!!! I've done mine twice!

One on the bottom left and a monroe...The monroe was a tad worse but it really doesn't hurt.

I did mine myself with a sterile piercing needle and a clamp that I bought from a body art shop.

So if you're planning on getting it done, don't get too worried about it. It's all okay. And it hardly swells.

Mine hurt really bad-- I actually fainted. But that was because the lady hit a nerve or vein or whatever are in your lips. She was awful. Make sure you get an experienced piercer!

Not really. When they put the needle in it hurts (kind of a sting like a deep cut) and then it hurts for about 30 seconds. After that it's fine!
Well done by a professional body piercer all piercings are fairly easy to deal with, it comes down to the simple fact do you want the piercing or not. If you want it then the piercing will seem almost effortless due to the skills of the piercer. Follow the aftercare instructions and ask your piercer the questions you need answers to before you get the piercing done. Once the piercing is done you will be too busy to listen to the detailed instructions for aftercare, be sure you get your instructions for the aftercare in writing. This way you can refer back should the need arise. Yes all piercings hurt regardless of where they are, it's just how you cope that matters.

Well i was told it just felt like a pinch but im sorry im not gonna lie its way more than a pinch its not terrible though especially since the only time it hurt was as the needle went through but after that it doesnt hurt a bit

To be honest I personally don't agree with the answer on top of this one. I have my lip piercing done for my 15th birthday which is in December however I got it done in October so I was still 14 ( almost 16 now ) And getting my lip pierced did not hurt me at all. Didn't feel a thing. How ever it hurt me a little afterward but thats cause of the blood that was drying up and making the piercing stick to my skin and every time I touched it, it would hurt a little, less then a pinch and it was only for a day or so. ( my lip also did not swallow up)But thats just my personal experience, and everyones pain levels are different. On a scale from 1-10 I would give it a 2 since it only hurt a little afterwards, but thats just mine opinion.
