neko, in Japanese means cat. neko's would be plural so cats. and the last time i checked cats have names ^-^
that depends on what the cat looks like.
if its a tabby with stripes: Tora may be a good name, TORA, in Japanese means Tiger.
Or you could call it a YAJUU (not recommended because that means BEAST)
Maybe ISAGO might work for you, that means SAND.
