If you eat non-organic produce, it may have pesticide residues on it or be Bt (GMO) that produces an insecticide in the plant itself. In addition, if the food is processed, you will be eating additives and preservatives that may be harmful to your health. All these factors could cause you to have health issues.
Processed foods contain additives and preservatives that may not be healthy. They may also contain GMO ingredients and residues from use of synthetic chemical pesticides and herbicides. Nutrients may have been lost in processing. Whole foods that are not processed will have the nutrients in tact, though if they are not grown organically, they could still have pesticide and herbicide residues, and GMOs. Organic foods will not have pesticide and herbicide residues.
If you are worried about pesticide spray residues that might have sunk into apple skins then you can peel them just to be extra safe. Any pesticide residues will have stayed in the skin. Otherwise apples are not poisonous but a nutritious food eaten raw or cooked. Unless you are one of the few people allergic to them they are a great food to eat. There is an old saying, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away."

Yes. Crops which are certified "organic" (by various state and federal departments of agriculture and other certifying bodies) must have residues under the limits set by the Food and Drug Administration. Furthermore, those residues must be of only pesticides which are approved for organic production. Farmers must make available to the certifying agencies complete records showing that only approved practices and materials were used for the production of the crop.
Non organic foods often contain additives and preservatives that are unhealthy. They may also contain GMOs and pesticide residues, and animals are likely to have been raised on factory farms and are likely to have been given hormones and antibiotics.
They got more food and nutrition and better health. :)
