Guinea pigs will also kill and eat their young if they have to. Often they will eat their young if they are stillborn, to prevent the attraction of predators that smell rotting flesh of the dead young.

I do not know the idiot that posted that previous answer, I left it in its entirety above. Pigs are omnivorous. Just like humans. They eat meat and vegetables. They like most animals will eat their dead babies. They do this to keep predators away.
