Carbon dioxide is broken down through photosynthesis and reformed (with the addition of oxygen and hydrogen) to form glucose.

Carbon dioxide is absorbed from the environment through the stomata located on the underside of the leaves.

No, in general plants use carbon dioxide in photosynthesis and give off oxygen.

However, during cellular respiration (at night) they do produce a small amount of CO2, but not not near enough to offset the amount of O2 produced.

This is why plants are good at sequestering Carbon Dioxide.

During photosynthesis:

6CO2 + 12H2O -> C6H12O6 + 6H2O + 6O2

During respiration:

C6H12O6 + 6O2 + 6H2O → 12H2O + 6 CO2

Plants need carbon dioxide because the same reason we need oxygen which is practically to keep us alive. all animals(includin humans) do respiration where oxygen is breathed in and carbon dioxide is breathed out; that carbon dioxide that animals breath out is what the plants take in through their leaves. So plants get carbon dioxide from any living organis which produces it as a waste product.

Plants provide oxygen for all of us. They inhale carbon dioxide and give out oxygen. Animals also have lungs like humans. They breath in oxygen and give out carbon dioxide which is inhaled by plants.

Plants intake carbon dioxide and release oxygen.

Do any plants produce as much carbon dioxide as humans?

No, it's the other way around. Plants intake Carbon dioxide and put out Oxygen. In the theory of how the world formed, this is how the atmosphere got to contain Oxygen, from plants spreading over the continents and producing Oxygen.

How does plants get the carbon dioxide?

Plants get carbon dioxide from the air we exhale. We breath out carbon dioxide and plants give us oxygen. So when we breath oxygen the air that we exhale is carbon dioxide that goes to plants.

Carbon Dioxide is needed for plants to make food.

Does plants change carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide?

plants do not change carbon monoxide into carbon dioxide. they, on the other hand, convert carbon dioxide in to oxygen.

Do plants suck the oxygen out of the air in houses?

No, actually plants are producers of oxygen. They intake carbon dioxide (which we exhale) and then add oxygen to the house's air.
