That would depend on three things:
# The amount of the Sun's radiation the plant is exposed to given your latitude, weather conditions and time of year - as well as the temperature. # The type of plant you use to test - different plants respond differently to different light frequencies. # The type of lamp you use to test - lamps use different compounds to produce light and so produce different spectrums of light. So some plants will benefit more from a particular light than others. All this considered the answer is both yes and no dependant on these points.
For instance:
A plant exposed to a low power lamp with the wrong light spectrum would be shoter than if it were grown outdoors at the equator.
A plant exposed to a high power lamp with the right light spectrum would be taller than a plant grown outdoors in Scotland during the winter.
I think that in sunlight as the suns rays might be ultaviolet...or something although a lamp might get hotter. I think it depends on the conditions of where the plant is. Sorry I'm not more specific. It also depends on the type of plant I think. Sorry you'll have to try and actually do the experiment.
Sunlight caries nutrients with it that the plant uses for health along with nutrients from the soil. A lamp does not have those nutrients, therefore sunlight is much better for plants than a lamp. It has nothing to do with heat or ultraviolet rays. Conditions don't really matter. Only the conditions of the soil and the source of the light. All plants work the same way.
it grows better in lamplight because lamplight provides a closer surrounding and can still make the plant get energy where the sun is further away making the minerals and soil take longer to make food for the plant.
Plants grow taller by using indoor grow lights.
We are doing a science project on if plants grow better in sunlight or in a box with a lamp turned on.Have any answers? Please write an answer.URGENT!
Most plants will do just fine under artificial light too, as long as the light appears about the same as sunlight to human eyes.
no it can not!
Yes plants do grow towards sunlight that is why some plants lean to a certain side.
In sunlight
Because they need light to produce energy and thus grow towards the light and have adapted better at growing taller than other plants in search of light
Yes, plants need sunlight to undergo photosynthesis and grow.
No, because the lamp does not produce the type of light and heat energy like the sun produces and the plant can not perform its photosynthesis which is the process of which the plant grows, and it also depends on what type of plant you have.
plants grow very well on the sunlight. it can prepare photosynthesis with this sunlight. it gets lots of vitamin-D in the sunlight
plants grow taller in the dark because plant will grow until they find light, but will eventually die.
plants grow better with sunlight because of photosynethsis
Yes, they'll grow longer in order to get more sunlight.
sunlight cause that is its natural light
plants vary dramatically as to how much sunlight would benefit them. some plants grow better in direct sunlight while others thrive shaded conditions. the fact is all plants need sunlight to produce food through photosynthesis. so the best answer is that the vast majority of plants grow better in sunlight rather than shade

In sunlight
a bean can grow in little sunlight because it will still be able to live
By studies, plants grow underneath natural sunlight better.
