Do starfish have a special feature?

[Edit]

Starfish have many special features. Here are just a few:

  • They regenerate lost parts of themselves to a point that it's amazing. Sometimes, if you cut a sea star in half, you'll get two sea stars.
  • They are one of the very few animals that use hydraulic to move around. The strength a sea star has in the 3 arms it uses to open molluscs for food, are often "rechanneled" hydraulically from the two resting arms.
  • Most of the life on this earth is parasitic (in numbers of species). There is not one parasite in the entire of Phylum Echinodermata.
