Dissociative Personality Disorder (formerly MPD) is thought to be caused by continuing childhood trauma that creates feelings of extreme and ongoing helplessness, such as sexual, physical and severe emotional abuse or other continuing trauma. There is no indication that it is associated with chimeras, and no reason to believe that it would be.

However, because of certain developmental issues (such as hermaphroditism) some chimeras might be subjected to the above-mentioned sorts of trauma. The development of DDO as a result would not be out of the question, nor would other personality issues due to the gender confusion of the hermaphroditic condition.
