Do the 1901 O well worn but it has a 3B stamped on the front and back what is that?

Someone did it privately using a metal punch. No way to determine on a coin that old - maybe it had some special meaning to the person or was used in some kind of game or jewelry, but that's pure speculation.

The coin is considered to be damaged but it's still worth about $15 for its silver.
