Do the contents of files as txt and doc get deleted when we delete files?

Answer

Deleting files, and not overwriting them, only changes the first character of the file name in the directory table to ?.
The directory search skips all such names.
Only a defrag of the drive will remove the data.
The data will still be intact until you do a write of an existing file or add a new one.
In that case the data may be destroyed in places but a forensic program may be able to reconstruct most or all of the data from a deleted file.
