On most vehicles the fronts wear first.
If you have disk brakes in front as well as in rear, yes it's the same procedure.
no
Unless its already too late, the opposite side brakes are almost exactly the same. The only difference is that the front side of one brake is the same as the front side of the opposite brake. That is, front is front, back is back, what you see on the left of one brake set will be on the right of the opposite set.
Not really unless all your brake bads are badly worn down , since abs compensates for the rate of rotation for each wheel so that you brake straight , keeping in mind that the front brakes take the most load and the back brakes take less so you should replace them in sets (front brakes) & (back brakes)
same as the front there both disk brakes just like the front
same as the front brakes they r both disc brakes
The brake calipers can be the same the front calipers on turbo cars is normally bigger as up to 90% of your braking force is on the front brakes but the back ones are somtimes bigger not always
every cavalier (unless modified) has rear drum brakes and front disk brakes. Wether it has ABS or not doens't effect the changing of the brakes, it needs front pads and rotors, and back needs drums and shoes... so the front is different from the back You should disconnect the battery cable as a safety procedure so the ABS will not try to work when you are working with the brakes. Just be aware that in some GM you will need a password to unlock the radio, so be cautious about it. Good luck.
All modern mass-produced cars and light trucks DO have hydraulic brakes on the front and the rear wheels. Heavy trucks generally have air brakes on all the wheels. Maybe you are thinking of cars that have disk brakes on the front and drum brakes on the rear? On cars, these are both hydraulically operated using the same hydraulic (brake) fluid. In normal stopping situations, the front brakes do more work than the rear brakes. Maybe 70 or 80% of the braking is done by the front wheels (it depends on where the weight is in the car and how fast you stop). Disk brakes are a somewhat better brake for a car, but drum brakes are a little cheaper to manufacture. So, disk brakes are almost always used on the front wheels where the braking is more important. Drum brakes are used on the back of some cars to save money. Note that performance cars (sports cars) almost always have disk brakes on all of the wheels.
There are front brakes and rear brakes. There are a total of four brakes on a car. Every wheel on the car has its own brake and every car has the same number of brakes.
had the same question, looked on bikebandit.com and according to them its 1986 that they started putting disc brakes on the front
usually the back legs are longer in species like hyenas the front legs are longer!
