Not usually. They may do so if they believe you are attempting to bring in contraband, but it is done in a non-invasive manner that preserves dignity to the extent possible. Strip searches are sometimes necessary to protect the other patients from smuggled drugs.

If you do enter a center that does strip search you, it is for your own good.
