No. I don't think they do.Because they are not as organized or devloped animal like us.Neither they carry braincase like us.With a small braincase with not much cerebral material & cortex there should be few memory cells and zones to master the complex act like obeying the pet commands. There acts therefore are purely steriotype and restricted to few inherited qualities like defensive responses,brooding eggs,search for food, general threat responses,mating behaviour etc. == I have 2. ==

They make great pets. They're easy to take of too.

Give them food twice a day,change the tank water

twice a week,and give them a diffrent peice of lettuce

everyday. You can find the turtles free, but the tank is

about 200 $.
