through the buttom of there stem they get all the nutrients in at the buttom of a river or somthing like that
Because it is really light and it is spread over a relativley big surface area. + its less dense than water thus wll float.
the wter lily is suited for water because the leaf is very broad which means it has many stomata to release excess water.

it is adapted to live in that environment.
