They shed, but while other dogs have just two seasons in which they leave maniacly their fur all over the place (which is, by the way, like TOTALLY disgusting!!), westies leave very very little fur through the whole year, so instead of aspirating every single day for two whole seasons, you aspirate like you don't even own a dog. So, yeah, westies are THE most beautiful AND practical dog breed in the whole wide universe!!!
The idiot who said "yes" obviously doesn't own a westie!!
No, westies do NOT, I repeat, do NOT shed!!
They leave fur only a little when you cuddle them too much all over your clothes or when they wipe their fur on rugs, and that's still really little.
I have a westie and its completely enough to aspirate the floor once a week, while when I was "baby-sitting" a pekingese mix we had to apirate almost every single day... it was horrible... fur all over the place!!
And yes, we decided to go for the westie because its cuteness, loyalty and no shedding.
So, every dog sheds, but westies keep their fur that feel of on their bodies and you remove it by combing. So, always go for the westie!
No, the Westie (also known as the West Highland White Terrier) doesn't shed too much.
West Highland White Terriers shed very minimally,or seemingly not at all. If yours is shedding "a lot" then either: a.) it is not a purered Westie or b.) your Westie has a skin allergy and is losing hair rather than "shedding". (Allergies are common in these dogs...many times it's their food they are reacting to, but see a vet to be certain.)
The full breed name for the dog that is commonly known as a westie is The West Highland White Terrier. The dog has a long coat and is very strong willed and friendly. Care for the dog is medium since the coat of fur is long and needs to be brushed daily to avoid knotting and dandruff. Also the dog does not shed a lot.
Now this is only an educated assumption, but I would assume a mini schnauzer because mine doesn't shed at all.
We keep our firewood in a shed. My cat shed a lot, last year.
Yes. They shed a lot. I will hold one and in the winter and summer in 5min. be covered in hair.
They shed a lot!
they dont shed a lot,but they do shed their long fur around the house. dog sat onw yesterday
a westie and a westie. They are a pedigree breed and so they dont have any other relations.
Yes. Even being a short hair breed, they still shed.
Yes, a lot.
No. Generally they don't shed at all. My Westie is now 14 weeks old. When I comb her, maybe two hairs come off but that is it. They are a non-shedding breed.
Presty and testy are words that rhyme with Westie.
