Yes, but the difference isn't that much. Most of the extra food you are hungry for during cold weather is to add some weight, not because your are burning more calories. And, people who feel warm in the cold are burning more than people who feel cold. They are using calories to create the warmth they feel.

No, but you need more minerals and natural foods to help make a sunburn go away or aloe. The baths, plus doing just that will probably end up having you burn more calories, along with exercise eventually. But while you don't die from sunburn, there's nothing healthy about one. The vitamin D is what you need. You need some cholesterol in you to help your body too. You end up getting a burn when you don't have enough cholesterol to help or you go outside for too long a time without the right type of clothing and wear. Some medicines can make you more prone to sunburn as well. Some fried foods can, along with sunshine, make it get worse, too, says a theory.

Ah, what kind of pain? Besides, I think you could feel better either by going outside, drinking some Graduates Grape Water from the baby section of stores (if it's there) or simply take like a 1/3 of an Alka-Seltzer every so often, or just 1/4 tsp of baking soda. Goya Coconut Water may also help.

Calories are actually just units of energy. Everything has calories. I.E., gasoline.

If you don't use the energy, or 'burn' it, most kinds turn into fat. If your are in the heat, your body is using energy to keep you cool, even though you don't know it. I.E., sweating.

No.

For the moment, you might lose a tad more weight through sweating more, but you'd put that right back on the moment you'd quenched your thirst.

Can you tell difference between maintenance and addiction to prescription drugs?

yes i can. if you find that the drugs are on your mind while they are still in effect, then that is a sign of addiction. this is a hard one to answer without knowing the drug. pain pills for example you will notice the addiction clearly, due to tolerance and withdraw symptoms. i would check out erowid.org for a better in depth answer to this one. or poppies.org message board. edit: also, if you find yourself buying off of the street because you used all of your prescription youre an addict. if you eat more than prescribed to get the desired effect (anxiety, pain etc.) you may just be building a tolerance. talk to your doctor and let him know that the amount youre prescribed is not enough. if he cant provide more meds, pain pills in this example, then ask him to refer you to a pain clinic, which will also prescribe you to other pills for depression and anxiety, heartburn and whatever you require. some docs just dont have the right to prescribe what a pain patient needs so a pain clinic is the best option. if youre buying off of the streets youre an addict!
