Just the bulb. They are either halogen or HID (an option). Either way, you access the bulb from under the hood. One half turn counter clockwise will remove it from the housing. Then it simply pulls out of the connector at the end of the wires. Small hands certainly help. Do NOT touch the new bulb with your fingers or it will burn out quickly.
You don't. Instead, you replace the entire assembly.

To replace a headlight on a 2002 Honda Civic first prop the hood open. Locate the headlight housing inside the engine compartment. Find the bulbs and remove them. Install the new bulbs.
it is behind the passenger side headlight assembly. you will have to remove the headlight assembly to replace it.
By removing the locks that hold the headlight assembly in place you can wiggle the headlight assembly out to gain access to the headlight bulbs for replacement.

One is mounted at the top-inboard(towards engine), And the other is outboard of the assembly. Once these two wingnuts are removed, carefully remove the whole assembly. The headlight bulb is contained in the socket... one quarter turn counter-clockwise will remove the socket from the housing.
undo wing nut on inside lip of the finder and pull white tabs on top of headlight and pull headlight out. will take 2 minutes
You will have to take the bolts off the old headlights and simply replace the old headlight and screw the bolts back in.
Grounds for a headlight on a 2002 Honda Civic are found stemming from the wiring of the lights themselves. To replace a ground remove the old wire and solder on a new one.

pop the hood there should be 10 or 12mm bolts on top of each headlight assembly, this is right as you open the hood you cant miss them.
