Of course not! While most doctors don't have a preference about shaved or unshaven, it makes their job easier if the area is clean! If you get a really picky doctor, they will order a nurse to shave you! For those of you who like to look good on one of the most memorable days of your life, I recommend it!
Also, for your information, what you are shaving is the pubic area, not the vagina. The vagina is inside the body. There is no hair where the baby passes.

∙ 14y agoYes, it is a sanitary measure. it used to be said all female operatives for CIA, etc had their pubic hair shaved- maybe to get ID traces if something went wrong, as Adams" motto has it- As above.... So Below! Body hair of various types is cut away if it would pose hazards to surgery, clearing the deck, so to speak.
