Do you have to use iTunes to transfer songs onto an iPod or can you use another service? |
[Edit] |
There are several third-party iPod management applications available that can move music back and forth between an iPod and a computer. These solutions are often not as comprehensive as iTunes, because they often do not support music with embedded Digital Rights Management (for example, most songs downloaded from the iTunes store, or subscription services like Rhapsody). To find some of these services, do a web search for terms like 'iPod manager' or 'iPod transfer' along with your computing platform of choice.
iPods can play standard MP3 files very easily; there is no special format required for iPod use.
iPods can even be set up as portable storage devices by putting them in 'Disk mode.'
So, while iTunes is almost certainly the best library manager for the iPod, it is not the only one.
You have to use iTunes. Or seach some iPod transfer software like http:www.dvdconverterreview.com/imtoo-ipod-computer-transfer.html
