It depends on your job and what you got injured doing. If you did something stupid, then yes, you probably would have to take a personal day. But if it is a normal injury for the job, then probably not.
If you are hurt on the job you shouldn't have to use personal time, but file for workman's comp.
By "personal time" it will be assumed that you are actually at your place of employment, but on "break" time. They can if you are using their computer system or servers to access the net.
Use handwritten communications only when saying thank you to a personal customer, or giving your employees a compliment for a job well done. For all other communications use formal printed memo's.

If you want to lose your job or worse you drive the company vehicle in your free time. It is ALWAYS better to drive your own private vehicle during your free time unless you have the Companies permission to drive company vehicle anytime.
If you were job hunting while you were supposed to be at work, that would constitute an unexcused absence. Some companies will terminate an employee after a certain amount of accumulated unexcused absences during a certain time period. If you were job hunting while at work using the employer's telephone or computer, that would be classified as conducting personal business on company time and/or using company property for personal use or unauthorized use of company property. These offenses could be grounds for dismissal. Where does the unethical behavior lie? With the employee or the employer?
