yes, you need bta to travel from UK to the us, bta is refundable, so its just to show that a traveler has the accurate amount of money before he/she will be allowed to travel, my husband was unable to complete his Bta fee, and he was not allowed to get on the plane.

∙ 10y agoI lived in the UK for many years and frequently travelled to or through Holland. I never paid any BTA (Basic Travel Allowance) for the privilige. This is because there is no such thing in the UK and it is a scam. Do not share any personal information or financial details with anyone that asks for a BTA.
