Auto Insurance Required for Learners Permit
Yes, All drivers are required to carry Financial Responsibility. A Drivers or Learners "Permit" is permission to drive and therefore a temporary license with certain restrictions.
When you are diving on a Learners Permit, You can obtain your own insurance or you can be covered under someone elses policy such as a parents existing auto policy but you must have coverage.
A Drivers Permit comes with all the responsibilities of anyone who operates a motor vehicle on public roads, including your financial responsibility.
