triple science might give you more of a head start but it isn't necessary as long as you get a b in double science you can study science at college which is needed to be a midwife or nurse hope this is helpful
Midwives generally have training in Biology, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, pathology, and diagnostics. A nurse-midwife may have prescriptive authority, in which case she would have training in pharmacology. It really depends on what type of midwife you want to be, and whether you pursue a nurse-midwife or professional midwife course.
They Dont
no. you need an "A" in maths and science and an "A*" would help alot.
What personality is needed when you are midwife
No, you do not, as not all schools offer it for GCSE. Hence, because the medical schools want to grant everyone the same chance to get in; triple science is not a requirement, double should be fine. If you CAN take triple science, it would be better
You must take mathematics and science, they are the key subjects, but if you have taken triple science it is better. =]
well you at least need to have a bachelor , master, or a doctoral degree., with midwife and nursing experience
Midwives need to know about the structure of the vagina and they need to know how dialaited the cervix needs to be for the baby to come out. They need to know how to handle the baby which science teaches you they need to know what position the baby needs to be in and how the head and spine is placed. Applied science is used during midwifery as they need to know about the babies body and the health of both the mother and baby.
Coordinated Science is easier. Triple Science is harder because you learn more. Triple Science costs you 3 seperate IGCSE courses/results: Biology, Chemistry and Physics. But Coordinated Science takes up only 2 IGCSE courses/results. It isn't a huge advantage if you take Triple Science, though.
Yes and no, it depends a lot on where you want to be a midwife.
all i know is that you need to take science its best if you can get triple science but if not double is good enough :)
biology chemistry math English and mostly triple science
Triple Science has different lessons for each of the sciences (Chemistry, Biology and Physics) but double/core science all the subjects are grouped together.
