Sometimes you can hear people say the -ed as 'tid'.

eg I texted John last night.

Sometimes people don't add -ed to make past tense the just say text.

eg I text john last night.

I guess as this is a new 'verb' people tend to say it what ever way they want. That sirt of goes along with 'text English' anyway, people have there own abbreviations and spellings for text messages.
