No you do not stop having periods after going off the depo shot even though you had them through the course of your shots.

That is not true. Everyone's body is different. I had periods the entire two years I was on the Depo shot, and they immediately stopped when I went off it - and did not return for five months. They are still irregular. It just depends on your body.
