Does 36mg Strattera plus 300mg Seroquel sound like an effective treatment for a 10-year-old boy with ADD?

Answer:

Answer

Is ADD the only dianosis? Strattera is commonly used for ADD but I have not heard of Seroquel being used for a diagnosis of only ADD.

Absolutely not. I am an adult with ADD and I am on 60 mg of Straterra and a maximum of 50 mg Seroquel daily. That Seroquel is knocking that kid out all day. The Straterra is trying to help with focus and the Seroquel is putting the child's mind in a fog. I have no idea why a doctor would prescribe Seroquel to a ten year old, particularly in such a high dose, if it's only for ADD. It's a powerful medication. The child could easily walk in front of a speeding car because he's so out of it. This doctor has no idea of what he's doing.
