Apart from some localised air pollution around town due to camp fires, the odd smokey truck exhaust, and perhaps the industrial area, there is nothing significant to adversely affect the quality of life. So to answer your question, yes.

The biggest issue in Alice Springs, for some, could be the dust.
During September 2009, the town experienced several dust storms within the space of several weeks. This was an unusual occurrence: however, if one suffered from dust-induced asthma or other respiratory illnesses, one would need to be extra careful on these occasions.
