Connect the external TV tuner card to the laptop using a coaxial cable. Boot up the laptop, and then connect the external TV tuner to a USB port on the laptop. Install the software that goes with the external tuner and follow the prompts.
Someone uses an external TV tuner, by changing the frequency of the tuner, via manually or digitally, to receive the incoming radio waves most efficiently.
It means cable, satellite, IPTV, or antenna tuner. Your cable box would be an external tuner, as would your satellite receiver, or even one of those digital converter boxes.
i purchased a new video cassette player, it doesn't have external tuner, it says line in recorder, so how can i record from my tv?
The only way to do this would to have a decoder device or tuner to decipher the anolog supplied through the coax and convert the signal back to digital with a vga or dvi output. A TV tuner with a DVI or VGA outputs ideally what you want, and it will typically come with a remote. If you have a computer they make what is called "tuner cards" which are cheap to buy that accept coaxial connections. This will likely not work if you have a laptop.
All televisions need a tuner to receive digital signals but almost all modern televisions have an integrated tuner. By linking the antenna feed into the RF input of the television, you should have a complete system without needing an external tuner. This should be the case for almost all televisions sold from around 2008 onwards. Televisions sold before 2008 (and a few sold since then) are likely to need an external tuner or digital converter box. Although all televisions now sold should have the right tuner for the region, there will be some rare exceptions. Before buying a television, always ask if it has an integrated digital tuner.
The digital tuner also demodulates the normal analog broadcasting. The tuner outputs a analog composite video signal to Video Processing Chip. In that chip, there is a ADC to convert the analog to digital, then after procession, display the content on the screen
A TV Tuner Card allows your computer to receive television signals so you can watch TV on your PC. If you have satellite TV service, you can watch satellite TV on computer with a TV Tuner Card. A Tuner Card can be installed internally or externally, but it will still come with video ports that you can connect your satellite receiver to.
Unfortunately not, although this unit will process digital signals and HD signals from the computer the TV Tuner portion is NTSC-M, PAL-M/N, PAL-SECAM and in order to process digital TV signals in the USA the tuner must receive ATSC (digital) signals
Most likely, you can't. Most TV manufacturers don't rell you that you need a second tuner source to be able to use PIP, such as a cable box, satellite receiver, etc. with an RF (channel 3 or 4) output If all else fails, try the owner's manual. On some sets, it may be possible to split a cable source before the cable box and use the TV's tuner for one source and the cable box for the second.
Yes. Television tuner cards give your computer the ability to watch and record television programs. There are internal and external tuner cards now available. The internal variety general connects to the agp and pci slots inside your computer. The external generally contects via usb cable connection. Recording can be done with one button or can be scheduled in advance.
Most of these receivers are being made without a external antenna connector (HD tuner) now.
