The doctors did a physical evaluation of Dr. Jenny and determined that a pregnancy would be physically demanding and extremely dangerous. With that information, Bill and Jen decided to explore other options for building their family. They started to lay the groundwork for adoption and for a baby by surrogate.

But of course, it is television after all.. and we have to wait for the next season to catch up with Dr. Jennie and Bill and their path to parenthood.
