Yes. Beware of any family history of liver disease. Medications that contain "Statins" can be harmful to the liver if not monitored very closely.

Statins, in a small group of people, can cause muscle degradation in the leg joints (got me in the left knee before being discovered) a condition which is not reversible. The damage is permanent.
