No it does not show up on regular drug tests. Suboxone is a semisynthetic opioid analgesic. Since regular drug tests only can test for pure opiates, Suboxone will not show up because it is synthetic. There is a test for Suboxone, but it is very rare and expensive and I have never even heard of anyone getting tested for it. It is very unlikely that you would get tested for it. But I promise you it will not show up as an opiate. It will not show up on any kind of probation test or pre-employment screening. Not even a 10- panel test will detect it.

Yes it is an opiate of sorts. Suboxone is a semisynthetic opioid analgesic. It is synthetic, which is why it does not show up on regular drug tests, which can only test for pure opiates such heroin and all the others.

Yes. It is an opiate, and will test positive on a urine drug screen. no it does not I get em prescribed it didnt show up on my urine test for probation I told my doctor she said it wont show up and it has not the only way it will is if you are tested for just suboxone so relax you will be ok it wont show up it allso didnt show up on my pain management drug screen.
SuboxONe (if you meant that instead of suboxENe) will show up on a drug test. It will show up as a synthetic opioid drug similar to codine, hydrocodone or morphine.
No it doesn't I used to take it and I was being Tested.

my girlfrien took a suboxone the morning she went to see her p.o. and he did a mouthswab on her. she failed for opiates. i was always under the impression that an opiod doesn't show up on an opiate test but she spent 30days in jail proving me wrong.

edit:I can assure you with my life that your girlfriend did not fail because she took suboxone!! I am very positive. Unless they were testing for bupremorphine, which is very unlikely and they would have asked here if she had a prescription for it. Plus the test cost about $150.00 so I seriously doubt her P.O. tested her for Bupremorphine. Trust me she had to have taken some other opiate at least 96 hours prior to seeing her P.O. That is absolutely the only way she could have tested positive for opiates.I have been on probation as well for a few years and have taken suboxone the whole time and it has never been an issue for my P.O. or pre-employment screens. Unless you tell someone you are on it, they will never know. If she made you feel bad for her being in jail than don't feel bad cause it was in no way at all the suboxone that made her fail. It is just not scientifically even possible at all! Trust me she took something. Anyway, hope this helps, it wasn't the suboxone. I am the suboxone category supervisor for wikianswers and if you have anymore questions about suboxone email me at jasondavidrice@wikianswers.com Good luck with your girlfriend!

As for your question, suboxone can show up on a drug screen, but not on a standard drug test. See, when drug tests are run, they're generally only looking for the big ones. Like THC (Marijuana), Amphetamines, that sort of thing. Suboxone is an opiate, but it's a synthetic opiate. That means, it will only show up if they're specifically looking for it. And the tester's only going to look for it if there's a suspicion that you're on it or something like that.

So essentially, yes, suboxone can show up on a drug test, but only if it's specifically tested for.

On broad drug screens that only test for opiates in general, there is a likely chance that it will come indicative.

Not the standard drug screen. They have to do a "bupe screen", and most places of employment do not check for it........it is expensive, like a methadone test is.

How long till Suboxone will not show up in a urine drug test?

Suboxone does not show up in drug tests. It only shows up if they specifically test for it, which my doctors say is highly unusual.

What does suboxone show up as on a UA?

Standard urine drug tests used in medical and employment settings do not usually test for Suboxone's active ingredients (buprenorphine and naloxone) or any of their metabolites. This means Suboxone will not show up on standard drug tests. Suboxone will not show up as any opioid. However, special tests such as gas chromatography can be conducted on urine samples to look for buprenorphine, the active ingredient of Suboxone. If the lab specifically looks for Suboxone or buprenorphine, it will come up positive as buprenorphine.

How much suboxone will show up in a drug screening?

Suboxone does not show up in drug tests. It only shows up if they specifically test for it, which my doctors say is very rare.

Is suboxone detected in drug tests?

on regular 5 panel drug test it doesn't show up. those are the drug tests that most places (probation, drug treatment places) use the other tests are very expensive and they don't use them. I'm not sure if it even shows up on one of the other tests. I've been on suboxene for awhile now and taken alot of drug tests and it doesn't show up.

Why does suboxone show up in drug test?

Suboxone does not show up on drug test for probation drug tests.I myself was on suboxone for almost 2 years and I was on probation for one of them.I did not tell my probation officer that I was taking the product. It did not show up on my drug tests because I never got introuble for a dirty urine. My doctor also told me it wasn't going to show up on a drug screne. So that's my experince with suboxone and drug testing. This was in 2003 to the end of 2004.TRUE! Most pre-employment and probabtion tests are the "Five panel" variety that test for opiates, amphetamines, metamphetamines, marijuana and cocaine. Suboxone will NOT show on these tests.Suboxone will show up only in a 12 panel urine test or if specifically tested for. Any panel lower than that, it will not test for it. Suboxone shows up as BUP (buprenorphine). The typical tests used to detect other opiates (methadone, Oxycontin, percocet, heroin) check for a different metabolite than what's found in suboxone and WILL NOT show a positive result for suboxone and suboxone WILL NOT show positive for any other opiate. This is from experience and research been on it almost three years and just had a 12 panel test today

Does the dot test for suboxone?

I've taken 4 drug tests while on suboxone, and it has never come up.These tests included: pre-empoyment drug screen, DUI blood screen, and 2 urine tests for my job.Suboxone has NEVER come up. Drink water, but be safe. Too much water can kill you.

Will suboxone show up in a regular physical?

No it will not, Suboxone will not even show up in regular drug tests, the interesting thing about suboxone is that it is like Methadone, where they have to test specifically for it, and these tests are more expensive than regular drug tests so they hardly ever do them unless they have some reason too, like your on Methadone or Suboxone maintenance and as a double check they drug test you but also make sure you have been taking your medicine like you should too. I have taken tons of drug tests, once weekly for two years in fact and it was like the super precise ones where they send it to a lab and do the cutting edge metabolite scans, and suboxone never came up once, and I'm on it daily. I have also had my blood taken for physicals etc, never anything. Your all good. Actually the above answer is incorrect. Suboxone will show up in a drug test. It is a synthetic opioid and will show positive for opiates. Only when tested within the opiate screening will you be able to tell whether a person has used suboxone, Vicodin, Oxydone, OxyContin, Methadone, Heroin, ect... These tests are the more "expensive" testing you are speaking of. Most rehab facilities do not do extensive testing and mostly make you submit a urine sample which will show positive for opiates. Doctors who treat addicts for pain management and use Suboxone usually do the more extensive testing to show your levels of Suboxone use. This is to make sure the patient is not abusing the drug. A regular physical taken by your primary would not show unless otherwise directed.
