No- he just goes into a coma after throwing the giant rock out into space because it contained too many fragments of kryptonite which had badly infected him. It is likely he revived the way he did because of Earth's yellow sun re-energizing him back to full strength.
It appears as if he did, but he probably just went into a deep coma and was able to wake up out of it at full strength because of his Kryptonian body getting re-energized by Earth's yellow sun.
She does not die in the movie at all. She is seen close to the end standing outside with the crowd of people after he is rushed into the hospital due to being highly infected with kryptonite...
