Wow, this is a good question. I dont see why it would matter to the courts what your sexual preference is and I dont think you have to tell them that you are same sex partners. If you want to have the child be legally adopted under your name do so, this is risky, because, if you and your partner ever break up then you will be financially responsible for the child until age 18. Now, I know I dont know the situation but the child has two parents, biologically, and is blessed to have someone in their life like you that cares enough to consider this, but be cautious. Go down to the county court house where you live and ask at the front desk what department you need to go, I think it would be were marriage licenses would be, ask for adoption information and think about it..
