Depending on what kind of internet service you are getting may depend on whether or not any special installation is required. If you have broadband with one company and are switching to Verizon broadband, special installation should not be required. It may just simpy require them bring equipment to your home. If you are switching from dial up to broad band, more installation may be required if your house is not broad-band ready.
