Does Virginia accredit online schools?

Answer:
Virginia does not accredit online schools or traditional schools. Accreditations are given to a school by a private educational association that is has been reviewed and recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. A few state agencies accredit public postsecondary vocational educational or nurse educational institutions but in general, states do not accredit schools whether it is online or offline.
