No, there are a total of 16 ones on a one dollar bill. This includes the word "one". There are six on the front and ten on the back. EDIT: I believe there are at least 17, 10 on the back and 7 on the front. To the right of George Washington there is a green circle, and the bottom of it reads "1789" Then you've got the 4 corners, the "one dollar" at the bottom in the middle, and the "one" layered over the green circle. If you want to count roman numerals, then there are 18 (1 roman numeral on the back). Also, there can be more because there is a code in dark green on the front which often contains a "1" and various other codes/years which vary from bill to bill -- Alex

Astonishingly, if you write the counting numbers in words, you don't use the letter 'A' until "one thousAnd".Note: ' 101 ' is "one hundred one", NOT "one hundred andone".

The value of a 1950 US 50 dollar bill from the Denver mint depends on its condition and rarity. In general, a circulated bill in decent condition may be worth slightly more than its face value to collectors. However, if the bill is uncirculated and in exceptional condition, it could potentially be worth more to collectors or currency enthusiasts. It is always best to consult with a reputable currency dealer or appraiser to get an accurate valuation.

The J is not a series letter, it is the code for the issuing Federal Reserve district. The series letter (if any) is located next to the date. If there is no series letter, or A through D, your bill is worth face value to $22. A dealer will pay face only. If the series letter is E, it could be worth $40 to $60.

Unless they are uncirculated, bills dated 1969 and later are almost never worth more than face value. You do not have to provide the serial number (not a "code" number) because it's just a counter and does not help to ID a bill.
