Does a fox normally disembowel its kill eg rabbit?

mine where killed last night, two bunnies escaped, we heard the noise of the foxes but were too late, they left them after we disturbed them, there heads were off, i have been told, they grap them...

Generally predators of the canine family break the neck of larger prey by grabbing by the neck shaking if needed.

Foxes can kill rabbits by scaring them to death, by stalking around outside the cage or hutch. Or, if the fox can actually get to the rabbit, it can kill the rabbit with its teeth.

Foxes kill rabbits to eat them, or at least that is the primary objective. Sometimes predators kill simply because that is their nature. Cats bring mice and birds home without eating them, bull-dogs...
